I have to say I have never used a baking at before. I have always used the metal pans to make my cookies and they almost always stick the pan. I always had to use butter or spray to keep them from sticking and this is very unhealthy. This baking mat is awesome. It is 16.5 by 11 inches in length. It has the circles already on it to place your cookies the perfect width apart for best cooking. It can hold up to 15 cookies depending on the size of cookies you have. It also has a measuring tape at the bottom if you are rolling out dough. One of the greatest things is because nothing sticks to it, you do not need to add butter or spray to your cookies. This makes them a bit more healthier for you to eat. It is great for oven cooking and clean up is a breeze. Nothing gets stuck to it and it wipes of easy with soap and water, no scrubbing necessary. There is no worry about it rusting like metal pans or keeping residue on it either. It is very durable and will last a very long time. The best thing about his mat is it is 100% BPA free. I am so glad I found this mat and I am glad to get rid of those nasty metal pans that tend to rust and get nasty over time.
